EUROOPA SOLIDAARSUSKORPUS
Euroopa Solidaarsuskorpuse programm on Euroopa Liidu programm, mis annab Euroopa noortele ja organisatsioonidele võimaluse rajada ühiselt hoolivam ühiskond, reageerides ühiskondlikele probleemidele hariduse, kultuuri, noorsootöö, keskkonna, sotsiaalteenuste, inimõiguste jt valdkondades.Programmi ülesanneteks on avatud ühiskonna kujundamine, kultuuridevaheline õppimine, kodanikuaktiivsuse toetamine ja kogukondade kaasamine. Seda tehakse erinevate projektide toetamise kaudu.
Tallinna noortekeskused on ESK programmis järjepidevalt osalenud alates 2015.aastast ja selle aja jooksul on oma teenistust läbinud üle 50 välisnoore.
Noorsootöötajate jaoks on väga oluline kaasata keskuste töösse välisvabatahtlikke, nad kannavad endas väärt pagasit oma teadmiste ja kogemustega, neil on motivatsioon põhjalikult sisse elada Eesti ellu ja nad on suure entusiasmi ja teotahtega valmis panustama erinevate linnaosade noorsootöö tegevustesse. Keskust külastavad noored saavad tuttavaks vabatahtlikega, kes tutvustavad oma maad ja kultuuri, keelt ja kombeid ning kelle hobid ja oskused/teadmised rikastavad noortekeskuse tegevusprogramme.
Vabatahtlikud noored aga saavad töötada ühes endale huvipakkuvas organisatsioonis, õppida uusi oskuseid, panustada kohalikku kogukonda, kogeda, kuidas on elada teises kultuuriruumis.
Alates 2022.aastast koordineerib noortekeskustes ESK programmi Tallinna Haridusameti koostööpartner MTÜ Continuous Action.
The European Solidarity Corps program is a European Union initiative that provides young people and organizations in Europe with the opportunity to jointly build a more caring society by addressing social issues in fields such as education, culture, youth work, environment, social services, human rights, and more.
The program's objectives include fostering an open society, promoting intercultural learning, supporting civic engagement, and involving communities. This is achieved through the support of various projects.
Tallinn youth centers have been consistently participating in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program since 2015, and during this time, more than 50 international young volunteers have completed their service. It is very important for youth workers to involve foreign volunteers in the activities of the centers, as they bring valuable knowledge and experience, are motivated to fully integrate into Estonian life, and are eager and enthusiastic to contribute to youth work activities in various city districts. The young people visiting the centers get to know the volunteers, who introduce their countries, cultures, languages, and customs, and whose hobbies, skills, and knowledge enrich the youth center’s activity programs.
In turn, the young volunteers get the opportunity to work in an organization of interest to them, learn new skills, contribute to the local community, and experience life in a different cultural setting.
Since 2022, the coordination of the ESC program in youth centers has been handled by a partner of the Tallinn Education Department - MTÜ Continuous Action.
